Daihana Martinez has accomplished great success both in the US, where she was born and in the Dominican Republic, where both her parents hail from. Daihana recently made history as the first Hispanic female to be appointed Research & Development Director at the Incorporated Village of
Freeport in NY. During her employ as a government official, she strategically identified ways to increase revenues and implemented routine check points to safeguard assets.
Additionally, she is currently the family estate Director and heirloom Manager in the Dominican Republic for her parents. Mrs. Martinez’s agricultural interests and involvement began through continual participation in agricultural projects abroad.
Daihana’s involvement in Farm Up Jamaica Ltd. can be much attributed to her global interest in economic revitalization. She is the former President of the Environmental Club in Nassau County, Long Island and she says that there is an increasing demand for organic food across the globe. She has projected that through consistent and honest efforts, organic agriculture can help to employ and feed a great deal of Jamaicans. As Secretary and Research Director for Farm Up Jamaica Ltd., Daihana will track important trends, stay well versed in the latest agricultural technologies, and develop strategies to help keep Farm Up Jamaica Ltd. on the right track.
