Support Our Organic Scotch Bonnet Pepper Seed Greenhouses In Santa Cruz
Jamaican farmers have been focused on the indigenous scotch bonnet pepper for years, in an effort to expand the production and availability of seedlings to farmers across the island. The Jamaican Scotch Bonnet Pepper is the most sought after pepper locally and thus the demand for its seedlings are very high and growing.
To facilitate this growing demand, a series of seed banks will be set up by Jamaican farmers, the first is being being built in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the seed banks will go to the Farm Up Jamaica Farmers Assistance Fund to help other farmers who are in distress.
The seed bank will costs a total of $5,000 US, to date we have raised $800 through our Diaspora Contribution Fund. We now need to raise an additional $4,200 to complete this initiative.
Any additional funds raised will be used to pay workforce and to improve the irrigation to the fields.
